Pastor's Message |
MEET OUR INTERIM PASTOR Pastor Stan Hoobing has been appointed by Bishop Martin Wells of the Eastern Washington Idaho Synod with the approval of our church council to be our interim pastor. Pastor Stan grew up in Boise, Idaho and attended Boise Public Schools. He has a liberal arts degree from Boise State University, a bachelor degree from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma,Washinton and graduated in 1968 from Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary in Berkeley, California. He was ordained on December 15, 1968 and served for 35 years as a parish pastor in the states of Washington and Oregon. Since the fall of 2002, he has been an interim pastor serving Redeemer Lutheran in Boise, Idaho; St. Paul Lutheran in Chewelah, Washington; Zion in La Grande, Oregon and Our Savior's Lutheran in Prineville, Oregon. He came to Our Savior Lutheran on July 15, 2008. Pastor Stan is married to a lovely wife, Carol, who lives in their Boise home and works at St. Luke's Internal Medicine bldg in Boise. They have two grown children, Rachel, who lives and works in the San Francisco Bay area and Matt, who lives and works in the Boise area. Rev.
